Does anyone else feel like the newer software and websites that come out today look so plain or is it just me? I personally hate the whole movement of software converting to mobile devices and competing with the newest design ideas of other major companies. I use to love the look of some websites like Moviefone, for example, but now it just looks so boring. I get that designers want to get with the times, but this new art style to me just sucks. I feel like everything from the past was so much more user friendly and more graphically appealing. Microsoft Office 2010 looks so much better than 2013 and most likely will look better than 2015. Yet designers are following that same style Microsoft used even though it looks poorly made and didn't follow the art principles. It's too bad that the looks need to keep changing.

Where are DeviantArt category sections?
Right before publishing a new deviation, there used to be a large list of sections you could publish your work to, such as Digital Art, Photography, and etcetera. Now I don’t see any option whatsoever. I see that there is an option when browsing DeviantArt, but not when publishing Work. Is anyone else having this issue?

Hello everyone! I am a cartoon artist who is in charge of a small business called Prevalent Arts. My goal is to sell products, gain lots of traffic on my website, but I am struggling with a following. I have over 1,000 subscribers on YouTube because of a series of tutorial videos I made on graphic design software, but my plan is to have more of a focus on cartoons. Sonic the Hedgehog 2
So I was watching the sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog, and I feel that the movie started off good. I had some good chuckles, I liked the character roles, and I liked where the story was headed. But then things started sliding. The humor got bad, it was overly done, and there was just too much silliness. I feel that too many movies are overdoing things trying too hard to be funny, and it just does not do it for me, since there is lack of a certain cleverness to the jokes. I ended up stopping the movie midway through. It was just so boring. I enjoyed the character of Tails. The reason is because I could really connect to him in terms of storytelling, and he brought more of the “character development” in the movie that I was looking for. Knuckles was overly done. His voice and character was too obvious to his actual image. Sure, he’s manly, has a specific mission, but it’s too clear. I know what you mean about Plain and simple. I have noticing that as well. it happen to me as well. I mean, using so much design, as in awesome! But somebody show out that I am copying same idea from other person. I tried on my own, then they said that mine looks so simple. "Too Simply"
